About (2).png

Bailey and Roni met back in California having both worked with the community theatre, "Young Artist's Ensemble". They first worked together during YAF's 24 Hour Play Festival in January 2020, where Roni directed Bailey's short play "Good Good Girls". The two remained friends, and when Roni moved to New York, the two saw shows together, would not stop talking about "Angels in America" together, and eventually teamed up to create "Fresh Binder Productions" and the rest is history!

Bailey Jordan Garcia is a queer gender non-conforming playwright based in NYC. Their full-length Pedo Punchers was a part of The Blank Theatre’s Living Room series. Also with The Blank, they became a winner of The Young Playwrights Festival with their piece "What to Expect When You’re Expecting Our Lord and Savior" (a play that also won “Best Play” at the Players Theatre Short Play Festival). They have gotten 4 people’s choice awards with PlayGround-NY and -LA, including two “Best Of the Best Ofs”. They’re also in their second year of Playground-One’s residency program where they’ve written their full length “Is this Beauty” (which was a finalist for WaterWorks 2024). They’ve also worked with groups such as Atlantic Acting Studio, Bite Sized Theatrics, Boston Theatre Company, Cry Havoc, Ohio University, and over 30 others! They’re currently working on a full length play commission for Vitality Theatre’s Anti Smoking/Vaping campaign entitled “Rosie & Brett’s Anti-Smoking PowerPoint Presentation” and another full length play commission for “PlayGround-NY” based on their 10 minute “@rudymocha has entered the chatroom”.  When they aren’t writing or seeing as much theatre as humanly possible, Bailey can usually be found at Bethesda Fountain, cuddling with their 3-legged pup, volunteering at Brave Trails (an LGBT+ summer camp) or talking your ear off about Angels in America.

Roni Ragone is a playwright whose work is situated at the intersection of exploring the boundaries of gender expectations and testing the lengths people will go to in search of human connectedness all while being told through intriguing worlds that give us the space to discover new perspectives on our everyday lives. Ragone graduated in June 2023 from the University of California, Santa Barbara with bachelor degrees in English and Theatre with a concentration in playwriting. Their full length play, "Night Night, Roger Roger," published by Dramatic Publishing Company, was performed as part of the 2022-2023 season at the University of California, Santa Barbara and became the first ever main-stage production written by an undergraduate student; this play continues to be produced across the United States. Ragone's short play, "my barricade," was selected and performed in the Top 30 in the 48th Annual Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival at the Vineyard Theatre, and in 2022, their play "We're All Girls Here," was selected and performed in the same festival at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre at Playwrights Horizons. Short plays, "Hiding in Flowers" and "Security!," were both selected and performed in Southern Rep Theatre’s Pop Up Play Series in both April and May of 2021. Full length play, "Up Strung Down," was workshopped through Amplify in October 2022 and again in the Tank Moonlight Series in January 2024. Along with William Huffaker, Ragone is one of the co-creators of "Doubles" - a playwriting festival produced through The Initiative for New and Reimagined Works.
